How to use the Parked Domains Manager in SmartCloud Control Panel
Accessing the Parked Domains Manager
After you login to the control panel, select from main screen or the menu on the left the Domain Management option and then click Parked Domains .
What is a Parked Domain?
Domain parking refers to the registration of an internet domain name without that domain being associated with any services such as e-mail or a website. This may have been done with a view to reserving the domain name for future development, and to protect against the possibility of cybersquatting.
Adding a Parked Domain to your Account
From the Parked Domain Manager, simply type the Domain Name without any sub domain (i.e. www.example.com) use the default option to Create new home directory for your domain and click Create.
If your account has a domain limit you will be able to see that at the bottom of the Domain Manager page
It can take up to 1 (one) hour for the domain to start working with your SmartCloud Web and Email Hosting Account.
How many Parked Domains I can add?
You can add unlimited domains to your account, if your hosting package allows it. Please check the benefits and limitations of your hosting package for more information.
How do I edit an existing Parked Domain?
SmartCloud does not allow any modification to Parked Domains, if you want to edit the domain, please add a normal domain to your account and then use the DNS Manager.
How do I delete an existing Parked Domain from my account?
Simply click the Delete button and confirm that you want to Delete the domain.
